Plot

On a lavish yacht for an assignment, a journalist sees a passenger go overboard. But when no one believes her, she risks her life to uncover the truth.

A traumatized journalist boards a floating fundraiser for the dying rich. At night, she hears murder through thin walls. The crew smiles and counts heads; everyone present, nothing wrong. The film understands the special loneliness of being believed by no one while surrounded by water. Knightley carries the paranoia with the bone tiredness of someone who has already seen too much violence to trust comfort. The yacht gleams. The passengers glitter. Something got thrown overboard. The ocean keeps it.
