Plot

In the southern Qing Empire, a boy is born whose soul contains memories from the distant 21st century. Fan Xian, raised by his grandmother after the mysterious death of his mother, a brilliant inventor and founder of the secret service, has been studying martial arts and the art of preparing poisons since childhood under the guidance of his blind bodyguard Wu Zhu. After an attempt on his life, the young man decides to go to the capital to reveal the truth about his mother’s past and understand the nature of his memories. There he will meet Lin Wan'er, the fragile daughter of the eldest princess, with whom he falls in love, not knowing that their destinies are already intertwined by the will of the emperor. Finding himself at the center of palace intrigue, Fan Xian must not only survive, but also determine who he is: a pawn in someone else’s game or the one who will change the course of history.
