Plot

Biography of the most famous Russian chansonnier of the twentieth century. The story of an artist who left Russia in 1919 and returned to the USSR in 1943, at the height of World War II. Vertinsky lived, sang and was popular in Constantinople, Paris, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Harbin, Shanghai and Moscow. He was loved by beautiful women and applauded by royalty and thieves. He was a man of God, easy-going and cheerful. However, this picture is, first of all, about his kindness. About the ability not to judge, but to regret and sympathize with anyone. And for this, fate gifted him with enormous success and late family happiness. This is the story of how a songbird, an artist, a frivolous creature can live a life that evokes both envy and respect. Each season of the series reveals new facets of complex human relationships, immersing the viewer in an unpredictable world of intrigue, secrets and emotional experiences. The characters develop throughout the story, facing dramatic challenges and making life-changing decisions. The high level of cinematography, well-developed script and atmosphere make this series an ideal choice for an exciting marathon of episodes.
