Plot
"Brotherhood" tells the story of two next-door neighbors: Jon, a white US citizen, and Fabián, a Mexican immigrant who learn what it means to be American and to love your neighbor.
As immigrant families across the United States face uncertainty and fear, and as America grapples amid a sea of misinformation and misrepresentation of Christian values, Brotherhood issues a call to every American to re-consider the message of one of our most beloved patriotic anthems: "America, America, God shed His grace on thee And crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea" Brotherhood tells the story of two next-door neighbors: Jon, a white US citizen, and Fabián, a Mexican immigrant stuck in more than a decade-long holding pattern awaiting progress of his US asylum application. The plot follows the experiences of the two men and their families as they navigate the difficulties of 2025-2026 and are awakened to a deeper sense of what it means to be American and to love your neighbor. The project is intended as an agent of self-reflection, inviting audiences, through an emotionally powerful, music-driven experience, to question what America means to them and how their beliefs drive their actions.
