When Vanda loses her job, she takes the opportunity to finally visit her grandmother Magdalena, who has been living in her old homeland, the Slovak Republic, for several years. When Vanda finds out that he works as a trafficker, she is initially horrified, but soon realizes that he is also helping people who are in great need.
