Plot

Amanda Wainwright is a single mom who works as a US Postal Inspector while son Preston is a forensics lab intern. Amanda's partner is Mitch who helps deliver a message after each case is solved.

Set in Washington, D.C., "The Inspectors" is inspired by real cases handled by the United States Postal Inspection Service. Preston Wainwright, a college senior at Jamestown University, doesn't let the paralysis he incurred in a car accident hold him back, and he enjoys working as an intern for his postal inspector mother, Amanda. Together they solve crimes, including Internet scams. The show endeavors to educate young people about making good choices and the importance of communicating with parents and includes a positive message about living with a disability.
