Plot

Senbei Norimaki, known by his nickname Dr. Slump, a genius yet under-respected inventor and roboticist, creates an android by the name of Arale, and poses her as his little sister. What starts as an experiment in robotics turns into an adventure every day for the residents of Penguin Village, a wacky rural community with several colorful characters interacting with Arale and her creator.

In the quirky Penguin Village, inventor Senbei Norimaki creates Arale, a robot girl with superhuman strength and a childlike personality. Arale's innocence and curiosity often lead to chaotic yet heartwarming adventures, affecting everyone in the eccentric town. The series combines absurd humor, slapstick comedy, and imaginative sci-fi elements, offering a satirical yet optimistic look at human nature, invention, and community. Dr. Slump became one of Akira Toriyama's most beloved works before Dragon Ball.
