Plot

Multi-week filming in the capitals and dozens of trips around the former and present territory of the country. These are unique places where a television camera has never been before: from a Polish village on the path of Peter the Great to the roof of the Hermitage. These are all German towns from which the Russian empresses came. Places of military glory of the Russian army - from Rome to Beirut - and places of national disasters - from Sevastopol to East Prussia. Historical anecdotes and authentic diaries, unknown documents and letters from the first people of the empire. Each season of the series reveals new facets of complex human relationships, immersing the viewer in an unpredictable world of intrigue, secrets and emotional experiences. The characters develop throughout the story, facing dramatic challenges and making life-changing decisions. The high level of cinematography, well-developed script and atmosphere make this series an ideal choice for an exciting marathon of episodes.
