Plot

Moscow, 1950s. Three young provincial girls come to Moscow in search of what people in all the capitals of the world are looking for - love, happiness and prosperity. Antonina gets married, raises children, loves her husband. Lyudmila sees Moscow as a lottery in which she must win her special happiness. Katerina falls desperately in love, but her chosen one leaves her. However, she does not give up, raises her daughter alone and also manages to have a brilliant career.
