Plot
When a childhood friend from Miami gets killed after he comes to warn of encroaching drug gangs, Baaba moves to Miami and teams up with a local officer to bring down the criminals.
Baaba (Omar Sy) is a police officer in the colorful, bustling Parisian neighborhood of Belleville - and he loves his life in the neighborhood. While his girlfriend Lin (Diem Nguyen) dreams of the big wide world, Baaba hardly ever leaves the side of his domineering mother, Zohra (Biyouna). But when his childhood friend Roland (Franck Gastambide) is shot dead right before his eyes, the good times come to an end. To find the killers, Baaba takes over Roland's job - at the French consulate in Miami. There, worlds collide: the impulsive French cop and U.S. laws, Baaba's street smarts and bureaucracy, his temperament and his new partner Ricardo (Luis Guzmán), who constantly has to save him from trouble with his American colleagues. Amid culture clashes, language mix-ups, and chaotic missions, the two must learn to work together. When they stumble upon a massive cocaine deal and an international drug cartel, Baaba and Ricardo become, against their will, a well-oiled duo - and a "Miami Vice"-style dream team in the ruthless urban jungle of Florida.
