Plot

Småstaden is about the small town of Larstad (like Karlstad, but Lars) where Sweden's youngest and most unwilling municipal councilor Simon Hoffman is tasked with saving the town from total decay.

I was really looking forward to this series. I like IJWTBC on YouTube. I also like the production company behind this show. So what happened? Why did it turn so Luke warm?Option one: They toned down their ideas, playing it safer for television.Option two: The ideas they had were not that great. Sure, there are some nuggets here and there, but it is very bland.Option three: Exploiting Youtubers was too sweet a temptation for some exec with a check. All of the above is probably true. This show is watchable, but only just. IJWTBC, I expect more from you!
