Plot

On the night of June 23, 1944, 78 ships of the Ladoga military flotilla with troops on board approached the eastern coast of Ladoga. They hid in the fog, very close to the Finnish positions, and began to wait for orders to begin the battle. This naval operation against fascist Finland - the “Tuloksin Landing” - is still considered one of the most brilliant of the entire war. The Finns then fled, and two months later they capitulated. Until recently, neither the Finns nor the Germans even knew that there were submarines on Ladoga, which were the eyes and ears of the Soviet command off the enemy’s coast. The plot of the film reveals deep psychological and social conflicts, immersing the viewer in an emotionally rich story. The main characters face difficult life choices, overcome a series of serious trials and search for their own path to truth and justice. The director's work is distinguished by the highest mastery of storytelling, impeccable framing and attention to the smallest details of the character of each character. The visuals and cinematography highlight the unique atmosphere of the film, creating a unique effect of complete presence. The musical accompaniment is in perfect harmony with the events taking place on the screen, enhancing the drama of key moments and leaving an unforgettable impression after viewing. This film is deservedly one of the best films of its genre and will be an ideal choice for our movie evening on the roof.
