Plot

Leningrad, spring 1942. After the first winter of the siege, the conductor of the Big Symphony Orchestra of the Radio Committee receives an important government assignment - to perform Shostakovich's Symphony No. 7 in the besieged city. This seems impossible - only a few musicians remained from the orchestra: some died of hunger, some went to the front, and some went missing. But the concert must take place and thunder throughout the world, so that both friends and enemies can hear: “Leningrad is alive!” NKVD officer Anatoly Seregin was sent to assist the orchestra leader Karl Eliasberg. But even before this order, the fate of Lieutenant Seregin, who lost his entire family during the raid, intersected with the fate of Eliasberg: it was Seregin who led the arrest of the conductor’s wife. Despite mutual distrust and complete rejection, the conductor and the lieutenant must do the impossible: together find the missing performers in the besieged city and ensure the premiere of the Seventh Leningrad Symphony. Each season of the series reveals new facets of complex human relationships, immersing the viewer in an unpredictable world of intrigue, secrets and emotional experiences. The characters develop throughout the story, facing dramatic challenges and making life-changing decisions. The high level of cinematography, well-developed script and atmosphere make this series an ideal choice for an exciting marathon of episodes.
