Plot

The Pink Panther diamond is stolen once again from Lugash and the authorities call in Chief Inspector Clouseau from France. His plane disappears en-route. This time, famous French TV reporter Marie Jouvet sets out to solve the mystery and starts to interview everybody connected to Clouseau.

Following yet another theft of the rare Pink Panther diamond, Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau receives an urgent request for assistance in capturing the criminals. Without delay, Clouseau goes undercover and catches the first plane to Lugash to investigate. Instead, the famous detective vanishes into thin air while en route. Determined to solve the mystery, TV journalist Marie Jouvet embarks on a challenging mission to track down the missing officer. Starting from Clouseau's childhood in the south of France, Jouvet interviews his winemaker father, those closest to him, Inspector Dreyfus, and even his long-time nemesis, Sir Charles Litton. However, all efforts to piece the puzzle together are in vain. And now, crucial questions emerge. Who stole the precious gem? Did Inspector Clouseau perish at sea as reported, or is he out there plotting his next move? Above all else, do legends truly die?
